Cynthia Brown, a New England Super Realist, currently maintains a studio and resides with her husband in Nevada City, in Northern California.  Her work at times has been described as theme oriented, as her explorative musical series in collaboration with singer Tom Waites’ suggests.  Cynthia having been self-taught, uses a stylish and surface conscious technique of application, and viewers tend to find her work soothing and meditative.  The utilization of light in her work gives the effect of inner movement, of life and warmth. Her paintings have been displayed in galleries in Los Angeles, California and collected abroad.
